The Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester is recognized today as the number one talent factory for European orchestral musicians. It is the only youth orchestra project that is artistically and administratively independent of public, institutional or private enterprise involvement, and is dedicated exclusively to promoting the younger generation of musicians. It has charitable status and its activities are non-profit-making.
